Maureen McIntyre

Maureen McIntyre

Maureen graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science – Applied Chemistry in 1985 and became the chief chemist for a petroleum company in Brisbane. After becoming sick with the toxic chemicals she was working with, she developed a keen interest in healing and natural therapies. She studied massage and then Reiki which she incorporated into her massages.

Her first child was diagnosed with learning difficulties. Maureen tried and realised that conventional interventions offered limited help and began exploring alternative approaches. Her son’s school introduced her to Brain Gym exercises, which they applied diligently leading to some slight improvements. She then discovered a local talented kinesiologist who changed their lives. Her son went from being below average and struggling to dux of his high school four years running.

Fascinated by the profound nature of kinesiology and her desire to develop the human potential, Maureen began studying kinesiology formally in 1999. She has studied Touch for Health (TFH), Kinergetics, Neuro Organisational Technique (NOT), Neuro Spiritual Integration (NSI), Applied Physiology (AP), Stress Indicator Point System (SIPS), Nutritional BioKinetics (NBK), Rekindled Ancient Wisdom (RAW), Herbs for Kinesiologists, Resonate Essences and Basic Homoeopathy. Finally, in 2008 she came across Hugo Tobar and Neuroenergetic Kinesiology. She felt that this modality gave the most profound results of all the kinesiology modalities she had studied and says she uses it about 98% of the time in her clinic.

Maureen brings her vast experience and passion for helping individuals to achieve a sense of well-being and to reach their full potential to the NK Institute.
